You can die from surgery =D.
In that case, I hope you have to have surgery.

Good luck, Nikki. I hope it all goes well.

Anesthesia failure that allows a patient to wake up during surgery, paralyzed and unable to cry for help, occurs 100 times a day in the USA, a study reports Monday.
The rate is similar to those documented by previous international studies, but many doctors have long questioned the prevalence. This is the first time in more than 30 years that the problem has been quantified in U.S. hospitals.

I am getting mouth surgery when ever my mom finds a good orthodontist.

I'm not sure why'd I post it to a community of people who play internet legos, but I just felt like it. I'm getting sugury on May 17th and I'm a bit frightened. I keep reading about horrible things that happen after sugury. BTW It's for my spine.

Has anybody here gotten sugury?
I had one 2 days ago :o

I had to get surgery after I broke my leg playing football. The break was so bad they actually had to use a screw to reconnect the bones.

Although I wouldn't worry. I know the thought of surgery is probably scary for you, but trust me, once you get it you will find it isn't that bad. You are not awake for any of it, they will knock you out for the procedure and you will wake up on pain medicine. Those stories you heard are probably just random occurrences. Think about it, thousands of surgerys are preformed each day. The only reason you never hear about them is because they go by so smoothly. Only the bad ones are reported so that is what causes you to think something will happen.

With spinal surgery you will have multiple trained professionals working and you won't have to feel any of it. It is easier than it sounds, don't worry.

I got my apendix out
falling asleep from the gas is really fun lol.

The nurse told me that some people just fall asleep when they are saying things like '...

I never heard the end, I fell asleep.  :cookieMonster:

I watched a brain surgery today, it was pretty neat.  The guy lived, I'm sure you'll be fine.  What's the surgery for anyway?

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm suuurgey, yes?

I had a tonsilectomy when I was 7, and that's the only time I've ever had surgery, and is one out of the two times I've been to hospital as a patient. The second time was in A&E when I went to catch a falling glass and it smashed into my hand and cut the top of my palm, near the base of my middle finger.

I remember having the anasthetic, since the Nurse who was their had gotten me to try counting before I fell asleep. T'was a challenge to get to "10 Elephants". I only got to 8. :(

i had surgery when i was 10 i had fallen on my skateboard and landed so hard on my face that i had to go in to have my nose reconstructed.
