Are you implying that ram doesn't come standard with computers with vista?

Where did you see this? Ram HAS to come with ANY computer, to even be able to do anything on it, no matter the OS.

At least 3 gigs of ram is standard now.  Unless you broke some, you should be using at least 2. In fact, I'm using 1 gig on 7, I run games fine!  Just leave it to people who know stuff about computers.

...are you kidding me?  Your like handicapped(Pardon the language)..I think you have some issues because I didn't say a word about Windows 7. Windows 7, is in my opinion a bit better than XP.

-Edited a misspelled word.

Windows 7 is JUST LIKE Vista. Vista does the same stuff with ram. The os takes less memory when running programs, then it uses some of that memory being used by the os on the program.

If it was indeed just like vista, why did it sell so well, unlike vista?

Sales have NOTHING to do with os performance, you loving idiot.

Yes, of course thats why no one at all bought vista and it's performance "happened" to suck.

Many, many people bought it.  Stop making up statistics.

Can you understand exaggeration?

lol sorry but you are an idiot for saying this. they completely rewrote 7, and used nothing from any of the other operating systems which they had never done before. it is 100 times better than vista, and vista was not very good at all.

Exaggeration doesn't work here.  Windows 7 probably has less sales than Windows Vista.  I'm guessing you're covering up the fact that you're wrong.  Get some facts on their sales, then I'll believe you.  Provide a source.

Warren, the memory thing is done in both.

From a simple install problem to an all out Operating System war. How... pathetic.

Windows 7 release date: October 22, 2009
Windows Vista release date: January 30, 2007

No stuff, vista has two years on 7.

Way to derail, guys.
What does it say when you run the installer, Mikiyikiy?

I got past installing it, but it asks for a disc to be inserted.
