I just Jail Broekt my iPhone yesterday (and Jail Breaking is NOT illegal... yet) and I'm loving it so far. Home screen:


The backgroun is actually animated to be all electric and stuff. 

I'm using a custom font from MW 2 and it looks really cool. :3

The last screenshot is showing off my custom "No album art" placeholder image.

...but now I'm more into messing with my phone. It's much more customizable.

You had to have really screwed up in order to do that...
You even tried DFU/WTF mode? (hold down power+home for 10 seconds, release home and keep holding power)

I tried every method I found. When connected to iTunes it would try to restore, but would never finish. It gave me an error number, and all searches for that error led to people with the same problem, none of which found a solution.

But yeah, as Rex said, Apple is a huge cunt over these things, they want all control over your device.
