My brother did this...

Sweeeeet.

I jailbroke mine, then lent it to my sister which updated it so now I can't re-jail break it. Damn.

I have never had an iPhone, what is jail-breaking?

Yours has a lot of conflicting themes, it doesn't look cohesive. The new icons helped though.

Anyways, can you still update it or even connect it to itunes?

Yes, also syntho, theres an app on cydia that tricks the ipod/iphone into thinking its 3.1.3 so it doesn't update. Also get a downgrade or something some how.

Ontopic: Cool!

Quite a lot of young people have fancy phones now-a-days. :D

Because some people are active socially and go places with friends and meet up with them at the age of 14?
It's not that odd. Most people at my school in my year (Ages 14-15) all have phones. They all go places and all plan to go with people to different places.
There's no real reason why a person whouldn't be allowed a phone at a young age, and 14 isn't that young for a phone.

Also, if a person wants an iPhone, and can get an iPhone, then they should be allowed to get an iPhone.
I have an iPod Touch, I'm 14. No problem with that or if I had an iPhone.

Anyways, I was curious about JailBreaking my iPod Touch, but I wasn't sure on how to go about it, not to mention my parents would probably be annoyed for whatever reason.
But, these are pretty interesting.

I have 3.1.3 firmware.
Just use something like redsn0w, sn0ebreeze, or Spirit. Unused Spirit because it's untethered and really easy.

Jailbreaking is the proccess of allowing 3rd party apps onto your iPhone thru something like Cydia or Rock. It's pretty safe fo the most part, and really rewarding, but recently people have made iPhone viruses. You can preven these viruses thru an app called Hackulous-Something or other (can't remember the name). Also, if you jailbreak, you can "unlrooster" your iPhone to allow other carriers such as T-Mobile or Verizon.

Basically it's a must do for iPhone users.

Things you can do w/ Jail Broekt iPwns:

1.) Completely overhaul your iPhones appearance
2.) Get apps that Apple wouldn't allow (in more ways than one :cookieMonster: )
3.) Free stuff (unless the producers ask for money for thier app)
4.) Add different utilities to your iPhone (like the SBSettings I showed)

Is there a way to Reformat a jailbroken iphone so you can be clear of all jailbrokenness?

I dont have an iphone, but im planning on buying one.

Tom

Not jailbroken, but iPhone OS 4 (legally installed)

Sadly, I'm only on a iPod touch 2g, so no mutlitasking.

I'd like to do this, it looks cool, but I'm afraid about getting my Touch bricked.

Tom

Form what I know, jail breaking just unlocks all the system files. So it can still connect to iTunes, but updating it will probably brick it.

Is there any jailbreaks for the 3.1.3? If so link please.
