ok i have done this before but then i got a new modem/router and refromated my computer. i am using badspost tutorial and everything has worked until this on spot. i attached the picture of the place i need help on in the picture i attatched when i try to put the ip address in with the .45 and click apply it says " IP address and LAN IP or not in the same subnet." so i am not sure what to do now. i have a quest actiontec PK5000. can someone help me?

Using UPnP is the easier method (I would suggest it if you know how).

However, following your port forwarding problem - Open up command prompt, type in ipconfig, hit enter, your IPv4 address is the one you need to enter in that 192.168.1.[XXX] box. 45 was just an example Badspot posted I believe.

hey thanks so much for your help.. what is upnp anyways?? thanks!!

UPnP = Universal Plug'n'Play

Basically avoids the need for port forwarding for stuff that supports it. PnP means you can plug it in (or connect in Blockland terms) and a snazzy bit of magic will sort everything out for you.

It avoids the need for port forwarding on Blockland (and quite a few other games), you don't need to re-port forward if you change internal IP. It also allows a ping to be displayed in Blockland (however in v15 I believe Badspot is doing something so Port forward and UPnP display ping).

You can usually enable UPnP in your router's "Advanced Settings" page. If you change to UPnP, disable that port forwarding rule.

hey i think it worked i just need to test it now!!! THANKS so much for your help. just cerious so all you have to do for the upnp is just turn it on and then its done??

Yup. Turn on, and then it's done. (But if using UPnP remember to disable the port forwarding rule)
