Using it now with Wubi.

This is convincing me to switch from Vista to Ubuntu completely... it's fantastic, really. It's so fast, it's visually appealing, and as soon as I got in everything was, well, ready. Updates were already installed, I've got my Nvidia drivers, and I'm getting Wine so I can play some games and such.

Discuss. I like Ubuntu. :D

Does ubuntu increase actual ram, that the computer doesn't spend on the OS :o?

Steam works alright in wine, just don't try reading your friends list. You can probably play halflife. Success with games on wine varries wildly between computers.

Oh come on, what's so bad about Ubuntu? And 10.4 has been improved, I just checked my memory usage. Its' really low.

Anyways, I've hit around 600MB of memory when the computer is doing nothing. I've got the install working.
