Author Topic: Guess whose modem/router won't port forward... Again.  (Read 1121 times)

I had this trouble before but I forgot what I did to fix it :c. We're using an SMC 8014W-G cable modem with a built in router and by god does it hate port forwarding.

Here's the port entry on the modem/router page:

And here are the details from ipconfig:

Seems correct; what is the problem when people try and join?

Everyone says it's dead. I made sure uPnP is enabed as well.

Don't have both enabled.

Change LAN Sever IP to 192.168.0.1

Disregard this, I don't know what's wrong.

Stupid question alert: How "smart" is your modem? Can you connect to it?

But all of the tutorials I've seen says to put TCP/UDP?

Yeah...? I'm on the internet right now, I'm connected via Ethernet; the modem is in my room.

Both what?
I meant don't have port forwarding AND UPnP enabled; they seem to conflict - I would suggest only UPnP.

Go to your router, click Status, and take a picture. Your modem link should be there.
