Not that I play Blockland myself much anymore (less about Bl and more about school, random crap, and recently getting addicted to the classic starcraft with several of my friends), but I find it interesting that you fail to mention building in your entire post.  I mean, add-ons and occasion updates are just to keep things a little fresh and interesting, but if you're not building, I can see why you'd get so bored.  That's like playing team fortress two because you like running around in circles on maps, and complaining that other people aren't making running around in circles fun enough for you, while the whole point of the game is to play as a team and face a different team in an objective to win.

Check back over the summer, one of my goals is to make at least two new gamemodes, that are not based off shooting people. I'll also be working on scripts that allow developers to easily work with large amount of bricks (theres a thread titled "Brick Manipulation" in the modification discussion, look there for more). Hopefully that'll help us get some better servers.

On another note, I think scripting in blockland is very easy, if you can do it in gmod, you can do it here.

I don't think that it's a matter of a few good mods being released here and there, it seems as if he is expecting a batch of new Add-Ons every day, just like cafeteria cookies.

Every time there is an update there's always a few laggards who think the old way was better.  They blindly argue against change.  Well guess what friends: the reason we don't live in loving caves today is because people like you lost that argument every generation over and over for the last 400,000 years.  You would stymie all of civilization for your own pathetic power trip.  You are nothing but a human speed bump.

Here's a taste of cold reality: When people are free to host their own servers, they probably won't join yours.  That's because you're an starfish.  The only reason people ever tolerated you was because they simply had no other choice.  Your power monopoly is gone.  Social adeptness and creativity are the new measures of success.  You will not be able to succeed in the new order because you do not possess either of these qualities.
