Nobody cares about your server. Most of the cases where this happens, is some monday who doesn't know how to port forward or use UPnP. It's not like saying your server exists will gather a hoard of fanatics who love you and everything you do. Even then, by advertising on IRC proves at least three out of four things.
1. Nobody ever comes there because it's crap
2. You're a hungry little African bastard who wants to create this hoard I mentioned earlier.
3. You're a Democrat underaged.
4. People are sick of the load times.
