Well obviously, but you could come up with a myriad of scenarios like that.

I don't think you quite understood my post. I wasn't saying it was impossible for their to be a greater being that created/directed us. I was pointing out that you ASSUMED it had to be a greater being when it could have simply been by chance.

Quite possible, I'm not discounting that, I was just sating the theory I felt was more probable.

I'm not good with probability, but based on what I would imagine to be logical, that species that created us would need a beginning as well. Somewhere along the line something had to have been started by chance, would it not? And if so, then would it be more probable for us to have been created? This, of course, goes beyond our comprehension and is why my views are more agnostic.

I can see your point. At sometime something had to accidentally be created. Star Trek kinda went along the lines in this thought as it had a episode about how one race evolved and traveled the galaxy and found nothing so it went seeding the galaxy to eventually have neighbors. (A really cheap way to explain why most the aliens were humanoid on the show when it's most likely that they wouldn't be. lol)
