Does the mouse like the mousepad? It says it's made moreso for laser mice than optical, that's why I went for it.

To be honest I don't notice any difference from just a normal desktop. I got the mousepad to stop the mouse tracks from getting worn down and to stop anything from messing up the laser. I have the g9x on maximum dpi setting which most people said is unnecessary but everything else seems slow to me. I kind of want the Razer Naga instead because of the 9 keys on the side of it but the g9x has a different way of gripping it but once you get used to it, it works great.
