Author Topic: Damn new Cell Phone Number  (Read 1440 times)

So two weeks ago I got my first cell phone...finally, 15 and my parents thankfully get me one.  One problem: the number is re-cycled so I keep getting calls meant for the former owner of this number.

Some are from the United Domestic Workers of America(but for some reason they like to be called the health care union)  these calls are all in Spanish.

Also,  I get calls from the dispensary of the hospital this guy works at (the last person was apparently a Doctor) that he owes money

And I get calls from his patients.

So, What do I do?  I can only block 5 numbers (already blocked 4 of the numbers of the UDWoA they apparently have allot of lines).

Ask for a number change?

Ask for a number change?

That is a last resort, but I am thinking about it.

I don't see any other way how.

Answer your phone with an indian accent.

Pretend to be tech support.

Win. I have done stuff like that with wrong number texts.

just grow some damn balls and say that the phone is in possession of a different person.

Now that's a good idea.

just grow some damn balls and say that the phone is in possession of a different person.

The number was used by some one else before me, but version gave it to me with my phone.

I still say the Indian tech support guy is the best idea.

I got a cell phone when I was 11.

This is completely irrelevant. Whore for attention somewhere else.

My number was getting bill collection calls, now it's getting people hanging up.

I got a random person screaming at me in Spanish several days ago, but thats the most I've had this happen

If you can get one, try google voice. Just make the answering message before it redirects to your phone explaining that this is (Insert name) not (Guy who used to have number)

But dont be a richard and tell his patients to do some handicapped thing, I'm fairly sure that's a felony.
