You can be charged as an adult at 18 however you can't consume alcohol until you're 21, and you can't rent a car or drive a commercial vehicle until you're 25 (depending on the state) So technically, you're an adult at 18, but can't do all the fun adult stuff til you're 25. All you can do is legally buy smokes and gamble in casinos that are not in Las Vegas.

You aren't required to move out at 18. You can move out before anyway.
