Some people are good at Algebra, but complain that they cant grasp the ideals of Geometry. They think its hard.
I dont get that. Its the exact same thing to me, except with models. I think its easy and fun. Drawing the parabolas and shapes and all that. Although I guess you wouldn't have to do that as often in an online course.
Algebra is a lot of fun as well. I'm not really looking for an extensive course or 100% mastery. I just need to learn it well enough to pass my school's exam sometime during the summer so I can re-register for Algebra II.
My school is 6-12, and in 8th grade you take Math III, which is kind of like pre-algebra. If you get a 95 or higher, you can opt out of Algebra I next year and go to Geometry as a Freshman. I had like an 88 in that class, so I took Algebra I. Both because I want to take an AP class my senior year for a certain diploma and because I want to go right from Algebra I to II I decided to take Geometry online.
I'm glad I took Algebra I, because we learned a lot of cool stuff, that class has a really good teacher and I think I'll be more prepared for Algebra II.
