You can't see radiation.

You can see it reflect off things. (Light.)

But all the light is being sucked into the blakc hole at the speed of light, so even if it did reflect, would the light be gone so fast you wouldn't be able to see it?

I'm going to hypothosize that intense gusts of wind move the materials around, and possibly, under the rock, causing the rock to "move" across the land. That's the best I've got.

That's another possibility. But it looks as if the environment around the rock doesn't get enough water for the ground to "shift".
