How do I get a ping, and is there an easy way too? :nes: :iceCream: :panda: :cookieMonster: :cookie:

Ping is how long it takes for your computer in milliseconds to communicate with another computer, whether it's just someone in a server or the server host themself.

You can't 'acquire' ping because everyone just has ping already.
Generally, the lower the ping, the better. A ping of 75 or lower is generally good, between 75 and 150 is somewhat good, and above 175 generally will yield poor connection results (i.e. lag and stuttering as a result of your client trying to connect with the server).

Ping is affected by many things, including the distance between you and the host geologically (for instance, generally players in Australia have high pings when trying to connect to players in America), and the connections of both you and the host.

I have zero ping. ^_^

Wait, so if I have a server up, and the other computer doesn't, I have no ping?

I have zero ping. ^_^
That's because you're geographically on top of yourself.

...No...

Ping is measured between the server (AKA whoever's computer is hosting the game) and the client (AKA whoever's computer is playing in the game).

You always have 0 ping with yourself because obviously it's yourself. Connecting to yourself through the internet is just a U-turn basically.
It's almost impossible to have 0 ping because no matter how short the distance there will always be at least 1 millisecond of ping.
