You have to port forward. It is hard to do. Good luck!
My mom won't let me AND it says you don't need to Port Forward on Blockland.us.

2. Type in the address bar: 192.168.1.1

He has to type in his IP, not yours.

Instead of typing that in, go to here and copy and paste the numbers on the top of the page into the URL.

  • 192.168.1.1 is NOT the only IP for a router, you can set it to pretty much whatever you want.
  • You do not have to use Internet Explorer to access your router's graphical interface; you usually only need your favourite internet browser.
  • You do not have to be connected via a cable (for most routers) to access the graphical interface, wireless works fine except when updating firmware when a stable connection is recommended.

You either need to Port Forward or Enable UPnP.
If your mom won't let you enable it due to "security reasons", things like this are completely safe if done correctly; Badspot confirms that this is completely safe and he works with computers for a living. Someone else can dig up the "shoveling coal" quote if they wish.

This is wrong. You are aiming to type in the LOCAL IP of your router, this can be established by typing in ipconfig into your command prompt and looking at the "default gateway" value. The method Caution is suggesting finds out your entire LAN's external IP.

Ok, so I did this:

Type in my IP address in the address bar.

Clicked on UPnP.

And put a check on "Turn UPnP On".

Is that correct?

Well, go try it out on blockland.

(NOTE: An easier way to check if your server has ping.)
1. Go into "Mod Manager".
2. Search "Server".
3. Download the "In-Game Server Switch".
4. Go into "Options", "Controls", then scroll until you get a list called "Gui", then set the "Open Server List" to F4.
5. Start your game, and wait till you spawn, and open the Server List, and see if your up there.

Sorry for the triple post, but it says "Connecting to <what IP address I have currently>:28000.
