Is one word clans a "fad"?

Me and Quark are having a debate to decide whether or not using 1 word in a clan name is a "fad" or a "bandwagon".

I think it isn't, this is because it's obviously a good name and it was used. If this was a bandwagon, 3 word clans or 2 word clans would also be.

Quark thinks it is because everyone is using it. He says that after seeing some clans use 1 letter, they want to try it themselves. I do not think this is necessarily true.

In the title "is" should be "are".

I think that clans are stupid, and whether or not their naming schemes are copied by other clans or not is just as stupid to discuss.

The whole concept of a "clan" for a game about "internet legos" is ridiculous to me.  Why does the community have to be fractured into so many different parts?  If I wanted to ask someone to help with a build, can't I just ask them?  Why should I have to be in the same clan so we can have a little network to ourselves?

Meh if you look in at the clan stuff there seems to suddenly be a random burst in the amount of people having 1 word clans where previously there were fewer. Idk it might just be coincidence but I kinda think 'cause a few clans turned out good with 1 word names people thought 'Oh I'll do that'. And its not really a fad more a trend.

There just happens to be a spike in one word clans because people that want to start a new clan, wanted to follow a basis off of other good clans.

|B] Builders' group was the first clan to have a one lettered tag. Then came along C, which was honestly our own idea to have a one worded clan. Then about twenty more people started making clans with one lettered tags/one worded names.
