Holy stuff you're right... Wikipedia could just be loving with us

avatar comes out:
you go see it
you: "wow that was awesome"
a.r.c: "it sucks"
someone else: "i agree, not a great movie at all. plot sucked"
later on in another topic
you: "i think it sucks"

There were plenty of avatar topics and I bet half the people in this topic liked avatar, but then changed their minds after others started hating it.

Because opinions never change.

Ever.

The movie avatar is like a cool car.
You get to take a look at it, admire it, and you decide it's pretty awesome.
But then later you realize it is in fact, not a car, but a mother loving bear ready to maul your face off.

I never ever thought the plot was good. The plot makes the movie, not supa kewl grafix.

My opinion?
It's amazing.

Avatar did have violence. But it was necessary to its plot, and not excessive and based around it (see Transformers 2 and Hurt Locker for that).

It's not based on graphics. That's necessary to the plot also.

I think people liked it at first

I think people liked it at first
5 minutes after the movie we sat down and discussed how fatuous the plot was.

I own it.  It's great.
