Browsing through help has made me realize something. People don't bother using search, they use ambiguous topic names, and most of them are worded so we can't even understand what is wrong. So, here's a guide.
Think: What is it you are having an issue on? Do you want to learn more about something? Are one of your add-ons not working?
Diagnose: Try finding out more about the problem. Turn off all add-ons, if it's an add-on issue, turn all the add-ons off and keep that one, with the default, on. Think of ways to solve it.
Search: Is the most helpful thing here. Type in the basic keywords (For example, for "My server isn't working" search "server not working") of your situation.
Topic: Can't find what you are looking for? Unable to solve it yourself? Then make a topic.
- Right Category: If you have a question about coding, post it in the "Coding Help" section. Mapping is in "Mapping Help".
- Topic Name: A topic name is what catches the eye. Make it logical, readable, and explaining your situation in a few words. For example, if your server isn't working, use the topic name "My server is broken or no one is joining!".
- Description: Explain is great detail what is happening. Again, make it logical and readable. Using "1337" words or gang slang to be cool is not a good way to describe a situation.
- Attachments: Try attaching pictures or even better, a console.log. A console.log is in your Blockland Folder.
- Reply: Wait a day or two before bumping your topic if no one had replied. Even if your topic is on the second page, it may get responded to. Don't except people to have instant replies. If you don't understand what someone says, don't freak out. Ask what it means. Even advanced players don't understand some things. Please respond maturely as well, we are trying to help you. Cooperate and you will get your problem fixed.
A note with topics, help is not a spam board. It is meant to help players that are having TECHNICAL issues with Blockland.
