Whenever the client sends a message, like "the minigame has ended", it stays there forever. How do I get it to go away?

Usually if the client sends messages like that, it's because the minigame has ENDED. Usually meaning that, you can PageUp/Down it.

stuff, forgot to add, if you have it as an event, change the value in the box to the right of the message to 3 or something.
