Author Topic: Holy crap my xbox is possessed!!!  (Read 1706 times)

I was messing around on my server when I heard a fan sound.

I listened closly at my laptop thinking that it was making it.

But after more carefull inspection I found that the sound was coming from my....already turned off xbox.

Yes the fan was running, I could feel the air and everything.

I unplugged it and it stopped.

(This is an origonal xbox, not a 360.)

What the hell should I do...im worried my xbox is gonna explode or somthing.

Edit:(for lulz)

I figured that the disc inside might be the problem...so I removed halo 2, the fan still didnt stop.

Idk why I thought that would work.

It's just the fan stopping slowly.

No ghosts involved so stop taking dem drugs

Has it occurred to you that ghosts would not possess an Xbox?
They'd possess a PC  :cookieMonster:

Use it as a radiator.

It's the proper size anyway.

YOU'RE GOING TO DIE MAN!!! THE SAME THING HAPPEND TO MY FRIEND A FEW YEARS AGO AND HE DIED!!!!!! WE WILL MISS YOU!!!!!

When an Xbox or Xbox 360 generates a lot of heat after playing and turns off, it'll keep spinning the fan to cool it off. Eventually it'll turnoff I think but only when all the heat dissipates. I usually just unplug it when it does this.

Of course, this wouldn't be a problem is Microsoft designed their products with better cooling capabilities in the first place.

Of course, it doesn't matter if you are smart enough to put it in a well ventilated area like a smart person would with their other computers and consoles.

Actually, I've notice this happen if I leave my controller plugged in with the Play-&-Charge Kit. The Xbox 360 keeps running to let the controller charge. You have to press the power button again to stop it.

But you're using original Xbox, so... I dunno, Bryan.

Dude I havent played the xbox in like 15 hours and it suddenly just starts doing it.

thats the wierd part.

Same, after I've turned it off, it goes on for atleast 2-4 hours, it's annoying when trying to get sleep.
