Why isn't Blockland free? Just asking but why isn't it? Other things are.

Why isn't Blockland free? Just asking but why isn't it? Other things are.

Because Badspot needs bread on the table. Roblox asks for hundreds of dollars for some builder club stuff.
Other games cost money too you know, Xbox and Ps3 games momentarily cost around 60$.

Bread on the table?

A saying as in Blockland helps him buy his food, and pay for his water bill, on and on...

He can make money from this.
For food, taxes, power, all that stuff.

You know, stuff your PARENTS pay for and you take for granted?

So Eric made this game just so he could pay for those things?

So Eric made this game just so he could pay for those things?

I'm sure he has another job, but it just helps lift some weight off his shoulders.

So Eric made this game just so he could pay for those things?
Eric and a team of programmers and such, yes.

People make things so they can sell them to make money

Bread on the table?
Just get over it. Blockland costs $20. And there is nothing you can do to change that. If you can't pay for it, too bad. Eric needs some form of income. So either pay for it or use the demo.

Bread on the table?
Badspot has spent his time to build a game. A very good game that you'll no doubt agree, is enjoyable.
Why shouldn't he be allowed to charge for it?
People in factories don't give their stuff away for free when they make it.
Badspot has made Blockland a buyable game so that he gets income.
Badspot is an adult, adults need money, hence the having to pay to play. It's all fair.
You'd not be too happy if you spent a lot of time on a game and a community and got absolutely nothing back from it.
So Eric made this game just so he could pay for those things?
I wouldn't believe he made it solely for money-making, but money-making is a helpful byproduct from making the game.

My parents think its a waste of cash. I think its not.

Do you get an allowance?

So Eric made this game just so he could pay for those things?
Not exactly. Origionally, blockland was free because it was in beta, the same reason ROBLOX is free. ITS IN BETA. But for Blockland, it costs money because it is out of beta and into retail.

I hope I helped.

No. They say i have to do TONS of chores to get an allowence. But if i did do all those chores, they would only give me like, 5 bucks.

We have around 20k players at the moment, and Blockland costs 20$ that means Badspot made 400,000 dollars off of it.
