Realistically, the best choice for a pistol is a Glock. They're incredibly durable, inexpensive, and widely available. When I'm of age I plan on buying a Glock19 and getting a CCW.

Their accuracy sucks a lot when you fire on full-auto.

Still, a glock is a good self defense weapon.

Unless he can get the right legal papers for a full auto, I highly doubt chasey would be running around with a machine pistol.

2.) Most if not all handguns only have an effective range of up to 50 yards, less if it's a compact variant. I'm not worried about having amazing accuracy because, like you said, it's a good self defense weapon.

Also, you can't really conceal carry a fullsize pistol like a Glock18/17.

Edit: Also, Glock18s go for like 3k+, I could buy an AR15 for less, hell I could (I think) buy a Scar-L for the same price, even an ACR for less.

He does not need a overly good accuracy if it is self defense.

Certainly. I love my CZ 453. Good for pest control if you live in a suitable area as well.

edit: From what I've seen/heard the Ruger GP100 is a solid revolver in the .357 caliber. I wouldn't know personally because of New York State and their handgun bullstuff, but later this year when I turn 21 I plan to go for a handgun permit.

Well now that I review, I really only have a desire to wield a gun. I guess airsoft guns would be okay, considering the only difference between them and real guns is the pellets and orange cap, and a considerable amount of plastic. They are also cheaper,  I guess. And come in pretty badass styles.

Came buckets. It has everything I've ever wanted in a pistol. It's a magnum, it's black, it's gigantic, and moreover, it's airsoft. Now correct me if I'm wrong: No legal papers, simple AAA batteries (Said from site), uses inexpensive BB pellets, and if I'm lucky the chamber opens up to reload.
