LINUX
We have one for emergencies. Slow thing that can't run stuff.

Harddrive's get fragmented just by moving files, It doesn't matter what OS you have.
wrong sir. Linux file systems dont
99% of the time anyway, but the 1% isnt important, especially to normal people

Tom

The 'can run anything' argument is stupid. Macs can run windows, and PCs can be hacked to boot Mac OSX.

And commercial software developers are moving toward developing for both Mac and PC. For example, EA and Valve.

You mean, 'only EA and Valve.'

Most modern gaming engines need some heavy reworking to work on OSX.

I am used to the PC.

ALL I want is that $500 dollar "Build it yourself, then ape rape graphics" computers...

But it's still not a problem since Macs can run windows without emulation.

Still, macs have no proper games.

And yet you have to pay out the ass for weaker hardware. Cool beans.

OSX isn't bad in and of itself (although it has piss-poor hardware support and low customizability); it's Apple's attitude towards consumers. They overcharge for hardware and expect people to lap it up because of the brand name. It's like designer clothing: equivalent to something a third of its price but costs more because of its name.

That being said, people buy Apple's computers in droves. Says something about the average intelligence of consumers.

Apple has the best customer support.

dohohohohohohoho

If you ARE stupid enough to buy a mac, you might aswell need that support.

Tom

I bought a Mac because I wanted a user experience that doesn't suck. And guess what, I never had needed to call customer support. And when I had a problem with my old iBook a long time ago, it was a hardware defect, so they replaced it for free.

If you're a god damn handicap, of course you will get viruses.

A PC is like a motorbike, hard to master and fast.

A mac is like a tricycle, slow but easy for non-tech-savy people.
A mac is like a hoverboard: expensive, lovey, and not mainly used.
A windows is like a skateboard: fairly cheap, cool but not great, and used by most people.

If your PC user experience is stuffty, your IQ has to be under 100.

Go back to your pretty and shiny user interfaces that costed you 400 dollars each icon.

MACS HAVE 1 BUTTON MOUSE!!!
