Last year, my mom's birthday landed on Thanksgiving.

I don't quite know why you're classing 11^th September as a special day.
It's not exactly something you want to celebrate as any of the other mentioned days or that it's a 'rare' day like a Leap day.

Anyway. I have a friend who's mother was born on a leap day, and it's possible that I knew someone who was born on October 31^st.
