Author Topic: Life beyond earth  (Read 4927 times)

As Qwepir said, the odds are astronomical that our planet is the only planet in the universe that can support life. But man's life here on earth is also astronomically short.

Modern Homo sapiens as a species is about 195,000 to 200,000 years old.

Human like beings have existed much longer. Australopithecus anamensis specimens are in the range of 3.9 to 4.2 million years old. But there are many questions as to how "human" these beings were.
This is an extremely short period of time compared to how old the universe is.

The chances that there are other "living" things out there are extremely high, but the chances of us meeting any of them in this short period of existance are extremely low.

SHUN THE NON-BELIEVER!
this is an ideas topic. People share their ideas. I believe you have gotten in the way of that.
Anyway, living things are made of cells, and may eat. That means that aliens must have the basics on their home planet.

And why wouldn't they have that?

People are putting out some crazy stuff. I wanted there to be some order.

ufos are anything unidentified, and flying. A ship from another world really needs it's own word.

What are you talking about?

I'm already here.

snake aliens...? What?

You guys are all too stupid to comprehend my posts, so just shut up.
No; You're just too stupid to concoct logical or reasonable theories.

I can easily comprehend your posts. I can also easily comprehend why almost none of that would work.
I can also easily comprehend that you have no idea what you're talking about most of the time.

No one understands life. That's impossible.
It is very possible, and to this end I have already listed the 7 characteristics above (which I'm sure you didn't read because you have no interest in facts or logic; the only thing you're interested in is asserting that your poop-monsters made of uranium are a very possible and very real conclusion)

Dragons from another planet plox.:D

But yeah, I think there were living things before humans have been around.

Hey, maybe there are and maybe there aren't. It's always possible either way. Anyways, I believe in other intelligent species of life out there, that they have technology better than us (such as time/space travel) which would explain how they got to earth so easily.

In my opinion, I do NOT believe there is no life on any other planet. If you flame me because I only made a personal opinion, you're a moron.

I think there were living things before humans have been around.
No stuff sherlock.

I believe that 99% of "alien sightings" and "alien encounters" are total bullstuff.

The other 1%... I'm not so sure.

This topic reminded me on UFO, English TV series from the 70's :D

But anyway, aliens are.
