Last time I emptied my recycle bin I had 11,171 files taking up 3.46GB of space, empty yours now and see. Just because.

18 files, 3.33 MB's, I clean my like everyday.

Nah, I remember to clear mine. The problem is, I share this computer with my Mom and sometimes Sister. And they might not want something completely gone, methinks...

Technically speaking, when you delete a file, you just delete it's represented form. The magnetic binary stuff on your hard disk is still there until something else changes the magnetism to something else.
