If you don't know what "cryptozoology" means, it's basically people trying to prove the existence of creatures such as "Bigfoot," or "The Loch Ness Monster."

I've found a list of many of these alleged creatures. A good amount are actually large versions of a normal animal, such as a giant snake, giant spider, giant hawk, giant fish... as well as some classics such as Bigfoot. The site with this list offers possible explanations for these animals.

Bigfoot = Prehistoric ape
Nessie = Prehistoric sea reptile
"Ropen" = Prehistoric pterosaur

And that's just a few of them. It's strange how so many of these supposed sightings have extinct animals that match their descriptions.

So, my questions to you guys is, is it possible? Could a few rare individuals have survived where the rest of their species died, and continued a small population in a remote area?  Or all they all fake, and people are just seeing what they want to see?

You forgot Blerfin.

Anyways, yes I think Still living prehistoric creatures are possible.

I think it'd be cool if we ever found The Lochness Monster.
I mean really, It's like a huge ass fish thingy creature boss battle :U

For some strange reason cryptozoology scares me...
