I got contacts for my eyes for the first time!  Funny, but cool.  I had finally decided wearing glasses was just annoying, and my glasses were damaging my nose, so I got contacts.  Huehuehue.

You don't want to get laser surgery until at least your mid-20s when your eyes stop growing and changing.

I've been wearing contacts for close to four years now. I like them much more than glasses.

Which means that he could read things from 20 feet away what most people could at 13... so he's not totally wrong.
