Author Topic: Idea on Philosophy  (Read 4528 times)

First, I completely agree. Also, it seems that when you come to a conclusion w/ physics and math (philosophy) the supposed "answer" leads to more questions. Thus we can conclude that the human brain is never satisfied with "the answer to everything" and we go to great length to find that answer but yet, we will never find it. Humans stride to find questions and find answers. that is why we are and always have been the dominate species. That is why it is quite redundant to try to understand philosophy because we will never fully understand philosophy. see, this is a very good example of the human nature. we try to understand the art of understanding and that is why we are so fascinating to ourselves. Humans amuse themselves. (well, except for lolcats :-3) and we will always try to understand.

Philosophy is fundamentally the search of deeper meaning in the universe, in ourselves, and the general study of problems concerning a vast amount of issues. But I think you are correct. You can only verify scientific philosophy with math and physics, not really explain it. Then again, each lay in the same realm of existence and each have to do with each other. I, myself, prefer more applied philosophy as you seem to as well. :3

As for your second one, I partially agree with you. Anger gives you great drive, correct. It allows man to push forward immensely beyond our limits. Then again, other feelings and states can do the same, such as grief or excitement or Love. When it comes down to anger, however, how far is one willing to take such? Harvesting the energy and using it productively is one thing, but using it to hurt another is something completely different. And pure hate can have tremendous effects on the human body and mind. But pure hatred, I believe, one cannot control. It is a blazing forest fire, merely engulfing all in it's path.

Go make your own smart topic. :D

The Phrophet/king has spoken.
And his words of wisdom just gave me a headache :s

Your avatar explains it.
Hey, what a coincidence, two fishes in one thread.
I would've got a bear, and yes, two fishies in one thread!

Go make your own smart topic. :D
Lol. :3

I actually was collected a bunch of people's opinions on The Meaning of Life the other day, and was considering making a topic. Skippy said I should. :o

Yes. Humans amuse themselves because our brains don't stay bored. We find something that responds and ponder and experiment with it. You are a caveman, and you see a rat. You will catch it and poke it, where as other animals would get it away as a possible threat. Humans learn because of this.

No one is better then anyone else. Granted, some are kinder, but I'm sure I'm not the kindest of everyone on earth. But thank you for your kindness, friend. c:

Though, I wouldn't ever run for politics. So much stress, and too many illusions in the field. :c

Humans are drawn to amuse themselves, as you said. I believe it comes from our sense of survival. In society, we are now comfortable, so we apply our survival instincts to other things. Some are drawn to money and others to amusement. However, animals do have a tendency to find ways to past time, once again like you said.

Ya your right. Your awesomeness would disappear.

This topic needs to become the official philosophy topic. I've always wanted to talk about philosophy with you guys for some reason.

I'm really tired right now to write down my own thoughts, but I'll be back.
