All you people with godly fast processors, try this:

Open up calculator in the Accessories folder in windows
Type 2000
Hit the n! button on the scientific calculator expansion
Do it once more.

I'm curious how long it would take on the fastest consumer available processors.

ninja: funfact: Calculator can lag your system more than Crysis maxed out at HD resolutions :D

Try them one at a time.

"The calculation may take a long time"
:c

Well yeah. You're taking 3 followed by 5735 zeros (rounding a bit) and then multiplying every integer between that number and zero together.

What exactly does "n!" mean?

I borked my calculator.

I gave up at about 8 minutes on my Core 2 Duo E7400 (2.8 GHz).

This isn't much of a benchmark either, it uses only one core (out of the two available for my PC). Whereas something like Crysis uses more than one core (if available).

It keeps coming out as invalid input.

Calculator broke. D:
Gave it 15mins, kept coming up as "The calculation may take a long time. (Continue) (Stop)" I'd hit Continue every time. But it never worked. D:
