I rub it in YOUR face? The only topics that ever deteriorate into religion wars are ones that dumbstuff christians made to complain about something or a really equally dumb atheist made to troll people. Nobody goes up to you and randomly attacks you on the basis of your religion in real life. You don't face discrimination. And you know what? Neither do I. But what I do face is a constant onslaught of religious propaganda, and ignoring for a second that it's total bullstuff, I'm not even allowed to criticize it? If I made a topic about the latest healthcare bill when that happened I know for a fact that 90% of the complaining christians would be in the debate if they were looking for it and interested in politics. Only the really devout "oh don't argue waaah change is bad" people would complain about that. But what's the difference? Politics and Religion both influence the world strongly. Both Politics and Religion are your personal beliefs about an issue. I think it's this you don't get. Your opinion isn't sacred just because it's an opinion. Nobody's opinion on anything is closed to scrutiny and potential attack. Nobody's opinion is right just because it's an opinion. Until you can prove that your god and ONLY your god is real, Atheism (at least negative atheism) is a reasonable reaction and thinking logically, so is positive atheism.
If you don't want your beliefs do be criticized, get better beliefs, but if you want to change anything, be prepared to stand up to scrutiny. If you're really right, you'll be fine.
