So in metals class we had to recreate a picture or drawing with metal in any way that we could. I decided to make a beach!

(Sorry for the stuffty quality, it's taken from my phone.)

Close-up of the left palm tree. All of the leaves are wires welded onto bigger wires with a MIG welder.

Close-up of the left trunk. I made these on a lathe.

Also the backing sheet metal has the clouds burned into it with an oxy-acetylene welder.

Yup, so feel free to post anything metal shop related.

That's awesome and would perfectly fit into my room.

Ha, $200 and we have a deal.

Oh yeah, here's my reference:

Are you going to forget your girlfriend on it?

Electroplate with copper, electroplate with zinc, heat and enjoy the brass coating.

Are you going to forget your girlfriend on it?
Don't have a girlfriend. Broke up with her a while ago.

That's the spirit brah.

Highschool elective? is it hard? (No pun intended)

I really like the detail.

Don't have a girlfriend. Broke up with her a while ago.
Sucks for you :o

the oxy-acetylene burn looks odd to me, but everything else is beautiful.
