Those are not clubs they are hakapiks, and if used they kill the seal quickly and painlessly. Also forget seals, you don't protest the way chickens are grown and killed which is so many times worse than the way a seal is killed.

It pisses me off when people try to protect animals ONLY  because they look cute, no other reason that's actually more important. If you say something like we're cruel to animals, not really compared to animals fighting each other, half the time they rip each other apart and start eating them while they're still alive. There's no point trying to save animals when there's a price involved, like whales, sure they're running out but you're getting a bigger profit because they're rarer.

Not saying killing animals is right, its just a fact of life you'll never change.

I agree. There's reasons to protect animals, like animals that play an important role in the food chain. However, Pandas are going extinct because they're loving handicapped.

Also killing animals is only morally questionable if you kill purely for pleasure and you kill too much. As long as you don't go on a rampage and eat what you kill, it is not a question of morality.

The primary resource of the seal is their pelt, however I find it extremely irresponsible of them to not use the remainder of the corpse in some fashion. HOWEVER, I would believe they dump the corpses and let Orcas eat them.
