I have enough to get two and my motherboard supports them. Anyone going to build a computer anytime soon?

I'm planning to probably buy either 4GB of 1066 MHz DDR2 RAM or a 2.66 GHz Core 2 Quad, or both.

Get both dude, if you can afford it.

Cool. Best Buy is having a deal on some hard-drives right now. $39.99 for a hard-drive(supposedly with Windows XP already installed) and 500GB of space. Oh and RAM is like 4 dollars cheaper for a month.

That's the problem. I only have $200 and I don't know what would be more worth for performance.

I say get the 2.66 GHz Core 2 Quad 4 gigs of ram is worth it, but it's easily available.

Nowadays processor is more important than RAM. If you have at least 2-3GB of RAM, get processor.

I have 1 gig of RAM in this computer, so I'm going to get some RAM too.

I dunno yet, it isn't up and working. I think I need a new Processor too because the fan doesn't spin when turned on.

Your PC wouldn't even run then. I think it's just being quiet.

If I had my Gateway laptop's charger now, I'd take a video of me turning it one and stuff.

I can afford these.
AMD - Athlon™ II X2 Dual-Core Processor 245
Seagate - 1TB Internal Hard Drive

I have 4GB of RAM, but this is my setup right now:

Channel 0: 1GB 667 MHz PNY DDR2 RAM
Channel 1: 2GB 800 MHz Corsair Dominator DDR2 RAM
Channel 2: 1GB 667 MHz PNY DDR2 RAM
Channel 3: none

I have "flex memory mode" which allows for different speeds to work with each other but poorly. Result = Not much performance.

Western Digital - 500GB Internal Hard Drive is the only EIDE.
