It's not just what these teens do. It's just what they did to the whole science fictional vampire/werewolf stories. The next generation will think of some sparkly diamond superman when you say the word "vampire" instead of these awesome sharp-theeted turn-into-bat people that used to be such a great subject for books and movies. (Run-on sentence much?)

Technically, a vampire is anything that relies on blood for sustenance.

Then again, vampires don't exist and are fictional.

So they have no specific guidelines. They don't have to have teeth to get to their blood. They don't have to turn into bats. They don't have to be monsters in society.
