Alright, you know the drill, time for hypocrisy.  I'm starting to notice how much of asses we are being. I swear, every other thread I post in, an argument against someone starts.  It's getting ridiculous.  Around this time it seems that this forum has a really high tensions.  I would like to see that be lowered.  Sure, we will always have differences, but some of the arguments I've started and seen are really bad.  There are many times where it has started about game console fanboy-ism. THe most recent one I've seen is about examples of an art style. (Though I won't get into that)  Really guys, it's gone too far now.  Just calm down and loosen up a little bit, it's for this forum's own good.

everybody should be nice. I'm going to make a be nice avatar. I never got on that bandwagon last time.
this forum is too tense, I literally spend more posts arguing with somebody than I do posting on topic.

But I agree, it seems this time of year is a time of high-tension. Maybe it's because of the heat, or because more people are active on the forums. Regardless, "arguments" should be kept on a friendly level, in my opinion, as when it is aggressive normally it is only trying to convert the other person, not share and discuss each others beliefs and ideas. Certainly there are exceptions, but for the most part many of these so-called religious or political "wars" - or merely just the occasional argument that leaps up between several users on other such subjects - on the forums start because some person or people is unwilling to look at an idea from a different perspective, and feels they are correct above the other. Or, in the case they truly can not see the other person's perspective (Or when there is no other perspective to view), they merely will not walk a way and leave it be, or at least give themselves time to calm down. 

We are all guilty of these things. What varies is how often and the reason behind each instance we do it. What is important, however, is realizing this and loosening up. Calming down. Living each moment. Life is too short to fill it with inane tensions. But that's just how I feel about the subject.  c:

It's the idea Ephialties gave us. Someday, instead of shunning an idiot who hates us all, we should do the total opposite and shower them with praise.
