an OS does not change the specs of your computer

I realize that, I put a new hard-drive in, and on Win98 it was so slow because of the programs, so I reformatted.

a new hard drive will just increase the amount of stuff you can store on it.
and computers dont usually run slow because of the programs, but because of the processes.

bullstuff, vista and windows 7 use more ram and require better specs to run. XP is smoother and can spare more ram and stuff.
