So, I'm re-downloading it, am I able to just copy the code-stuff (complete jibberish numbers/letters etc.), and put it in there, or not?

Yes, you can/should. You obviously can't play the full version without an activated version. You can use your key on multiple computers, god knows I did.

I mean I've lost the code in actual letters, but in the folder there is a text-file thing with aload of jibberish on it. Would copying and pasting that work? Although I except probably not.

I don't know how the keydat really works, but don't copy and paste as when you copy from notepad, you may lose some characters.
Copying the file may work.

From what I recall, the actual window in the game that pops up tells you that you can copy/paste the key.

Kalphiter isn't talking about the actual activation key. She's talking about the key.dat in your Blockland folder which has symbols in it. You can try to copy and paste the strange text in key.dat but it might not paste the same due to the symbols. The OP does not want to reenter their key after install, so what they are trying to do is make a copy of the key.dat, which is created after you enter your activation key.
