Author Topic: Ports Not Changing??  (Read 2175 times)

When I go to host, I go into "Advanced Config" and change the port from 28100 to 28000, and start a server. When I had someone test it for me, he said that it was trying to connect to port 28100. When I stopped the server and returned to "Advanced Config" the port was still 28000. This happens every time I try to host. I've tried with UPnP enabled and disabled.

There's the main part of the log. Do you see anything wrong with that? I do, but it sort of runs through the whole of it.

UPnP is disabled, or at least when I check in "Network". The box that says "Disable UPnP" is checked.

And no, I don't see anything wrong with this because I hardly know what any of that means. :P

When I stopped the server
You probably stopped it incorrectly, type quit();

Alright, so I tested it again. The same person who tested before said that it was trying to connect to port 28000 now, but still un-joinable. So, UPnP is disabled, and when people try to join my server they try to connect to port 28000, which is what I have it set on.


Why not just set it back to port 28100?

For your information,

I own an Airport Extreme and looked through the guide for it here on the forums, and encountered a problem. No one will answer my question about it so I am trying different things now that port forwarding is no longer needed for most people.


Way to jump to conclusions.
