Author Topic: Error: Invalid packet (1)  (Read 1347 times)

Okay, so I kept getting this error, and searched the internet for possible fixes. I turned music downloading on and it didn't change anything. I deleted all of my add-ons, un-installed, re installed. Still, I get the invalid packet error. Shucks. This is really kind of pissing me off, because 8 out of ten games wont work. Whoever responds and helps gets a cookie. :cookie:

Have you tried updating your drivers?

Well, I'm running an integrated chipset on a new laptop, but I will check for updates.

reinstalled my driver. Took a chunk of my day. So, I opened blockland again, and what do I see? INVALID PACKET >.<
PLEASE help, My 20 dollars feels like it is wasted on a glitch others dont have.

Have you tried pressing Alt + Enter(return) when the message comes up? That will switch it to wondow mode if resolution is the problem.

Hm. I'll give it a shot.

Invalid packet is usually a server/client file mismatch, I have no idea where darerd got his ideas from...

Are you trying to connect to one specific server, or have you tried connecting to multiple ones?
Is it happening on startup or connecting to server(I would assume connecting to server)?

Connecting to servers...

and delete all the NORMAL FOLDERS in the addons folder, not the music folder though, and not the zipped folders

If it's been happening since the first time you bought the game, one of your default addons may be glitched, as it sounds like it's all servers.

and delete all the NORMAL FOLDERS in the addons folder, not the music folder though, and not the zipped folders
Do not follow this advice because chances are you will not understand the instructions and you will screw something up.

and then if you follow this advice, the problem won't get fixed

Jesus. Give me a little more credit, deleting folders but no zip files isn't THAT hard...

Don't delete the "music" folder though.

Okay, I'll tell you what happens.
