I am going to the Grand Canyon tomorrow :3

Will have pics some time tomorrow or the next day.

Pictures: http://s740.photobucket.com/albums/xx44/tehNinjaPirate/Grand%20Canyon/

Some of them:

I saw a flip flop and a hat that people dropped, and a squirrel, and I do believe they are in the album.

Anyway, it is huge. Larger than I thought. And beautiful. It's hard to explain with words and pictures.

It's unreal. Enjoy it.

I've been there, was young so I didn't really appreciate it as much. I live in Arizona so maybe I'll go visit it again. By the way, when you get here, it could be well over 105 degrees.

Maybe you can explain to me what's so awesome about it when you get back, I don't seem to understand.

Pictures don't do it full justice. It's one of the most majestic, amazing things I've ever seen. Esecially around the edges. Looking down into the canyon can be less amazing because the humidity and heat can cause it to look a bit hazy and faded like a picture, but if you're at some of the overlooks and look along the edge of the canyon and down into it a bit, that can be awesome. Get pictures of the rim area, not just the center.

Also, steer clear of the main touristy area for a while. Go to the less crowded lookouts.

Slightly unrelated, but I think that you should have to hike twenty miles to see that canyon. I tried to appreciate it as much as possible when I was there, but it's kind of hard when some fat lard from Kentucky rolled out of their AC'd car and is breathing heavy next to me "enjoying" the same thing as I am. I think that payout should be directly related to the effort you put into it. I drove in a car too, but I would've hiked 15-20 miles to see that. I think the pain and hardship experienced when travelling to a destination like that makes it so much more enjoyable and you're able to appreciate it more. Also, knowing the difficulty in obtaining the views of the canyon, I think it would filter out the people that can't appreciate how beautifully unreal it is.

The rocks at the bottom of the canyon are millions of millions years old.

Think about that for a second.  Now compare that to your life.

Now compare that to the average flies life (1 day).

I would hate to be a fly.  :/

It was formed by the Colorado river over a period of some thousands upon thousands of years. A river!

So, slowly it eroded away some of the land and transported it miles all the way to the Pacific Ocean.

That my friend is amazing.

Went there.
Massive hole in the earth. Was excruciatingly boring.
