New Engine?

A couple questions:

If Badspot were to change the engine of the game, would everything be the same?  How long would it take?  What is the average cost of a game engine?  Would you pay another $20 for Badspot to change the engine?

I understand this isn't going to happen.

some engine publisher rights to develop on, can be 10k, 50k, 100k+?

badspot's profit would take a huge dive, for an incredibly unnecessary update. when blockland may not really benefit enough from it.

Well there are like, 15k active users, and probably 13k would spend the $10.  (Just a guess)
$10 x 13,000 = $130,000
There are probably extra expenses and taxes to go along with it, which hopefully would be covered by the 30k.  But I am no mathematician nor expert on how many people play BL.

No, he wouldn't. That's A LOT of work to do, and A LOT of work down the drain. If anything, he should simply upgrade the current engine to meet Blockland's demands.
