Seems to me like you're lashing out for no good reason. They're telling him a perfectly acceptable guideline to getting along here. If he doesn't act like a moron, chances are he'll have a much better time.
he dont need to follow our made up social rules like some kind hazing.
they are basically telling him right off, that he WONT be accepted around here unless hes the takes them on as superior members, and he must shadow them.
its subtle, but its happening to every new person. and its not necessary to greet people with those threats.
to ask him to be like everyone else here seems like a contrary thing to what we want anyways.
not everyone's personality calls for them to fall in line to random internet people so quickly. no need to set them up for failure just to feed all your egos.
