Whenever I try joining a VAC protected game the connection fails and tells me I have firewall blocking the program, a cheat system, or connection issues. I don't have a cheat and stuff on my computer and I allowed Steam and HL2 through my firewall and it continues. Help

Been on steam 2 years without a problem like this so I don't know. I am still on steam support waiting for someone to reset my password. :'(

They respond in about a day but this is taking longer than usual.
