Author Topic: Wireless Card Problem?  (Read 1010 times)

I think there might be something wrong with my wireless card, but I'm not sure what.
When I start my computer, the internet works fine for about 15-20 minutes, then it just stops. When I click on "Available networks" to reconnect, NOTHING shows up, but I know that my network is available because it's working on other computers. I also notice a LARGE spike in memory usage when this happens. The only way to make the internet work again is to restart.

I have a Linksys WMP54GS PCI with SpeedBooster.

what

Anyway, could be your drivers. Or the card isn't fully pressed into the PCI slot.

It could also be a compatibility issue with your router

I think I'm going to reinstall the drivers, because this problem just started today and I've had this card for a year.

You hate wireless apparently.

You hate wireless apparently.
I don't hate wireless, I just don't think it's worth it to pay more and get a worse signal.

Yeah, but it's not practical to run Ethernet  cables to every computer in your house. Especially if you have laptops.
