- Most christians believe god wants us to ONLY marry a single person
FALSE, that is a modern rule of society that does not apply to the religion. in fact on several occasions, god has gifted additional wives to men as reward. and encouraged it other times.
- Most christians believe people can become ghosts.
FALSE, the bible is extremely specific on what happens at death and what happens to your "soul". there is no room for the theory of ghosts existing in Christianity.
- Most christians believe people become angels when they go to heaven.
FALSE, on few books in bible, they are VERY specific on what an angel is, the types there are, what they are meant for. there isn't a debate at all on this topic really. yet all Christians believe it anyways.
- Most christians believe You will get to look down at your family from heaven.
FALSE, god himself is quoted to say, that you lose all your memories in heaven/hell of your former life. no personality, no family, no possessions. Technically nothing of who you are will exist at all. you will be a mindless drone in heaven with no other purpose then to praise god all day.
and in hell, well not knowing who you are and why you are there would be a pointless punishment as well. however that's how it is.
so you see, Christians dont even read their own bible. they know nothing of their own creed or their own god.
they are all tools just waiting to hear the parts that are appealing, then defending things they dont understand.
Humans are immeasurably greedy, so they cling to Christianity because
1) they want a reward for acts of kindness
2) they are afraid of death and losing their personal wealth
Am I say atheist aren't greedy? No I'm not. This is just how I view Christianity. And most christians will deny thinking like this because it's been drilled into their heads.
