You know, it's probably your CPU/GPU that's causing games to run like stuff. RAM hardly has anything to do with it, and the you'll ever need is 2GB (which hardly makes much of a difference.)

Yes, I know. The most you'll ever need is 2GB, which is almost overkill (unless you have memory hog operating systems like vista/7)

I have 3GB on a Vista and rarely risk running out.

I doubt you are going to find the specific stuff you need for your laptop at best buy. Some best buys don't carry ram at all.
