Download GIMP
Download Visitor font from
here and install it.
Download .xcf template from
hereOpen .xcf template with GIMP
Find flag image you want
Paste it into picture.
Select it in the layer selection menu (should have name similar to file name)
Click Layer > Scale Layer... from toolbar
Change the height to 75px, the width is linked and will scale with it.
Click 'Scale'
If the flag you want needs positioned in a certain part, cut (ctrl+x) and paste (ctrl+p) then click the new layer icon under the layer selection menu (far left out of set of buttons directly under it), then move it left or right but NOT up or down.
Move the layer down to the bottom of the list once it is positioned.
Click layer called 'Your flag here' and select the trashcan icon to delete it.
Select Text tool.
Change your primary colour to white (FFFFFF)
Select the layer called 'Text'
Select text layer and click on the selection to open the text dialog. Input what you want.
Change your primary colour to black (000000)
Right click the text layer on the layer list and select 'alpha to selection'
Select the layer 'Text Black'
Right Click > Select > Grow
Change to 1px and click Grow
Use paintbrush tool to cover your selection.
Go over multiple times to ensure an even amount of pure black.
Select the layer below the text layer.
ADDITIONAL STEPSPure shades of colors do not darken/lighten well. Change them to a nice shade (darker and less saturated) with the fillcan, and experiment until you get the desired colour. Changing whites to a slightly gray works nice. For coats of arms and other symbols, don't bother with them. You may have to extend stripes on a flag to get parts that you want (such as the coat of arms on the Slovakian one). For that, simply use the pencil tool to draw in the rest, using the colour picker to get the right colours.
